In today’s era, we people are living more stressful lives than relaxed life. Normally we think that stress can only be found in an adult’s life but it’s not true. The fact is that many problems cause stress in young people’s life. There can be many reasons for stress but study stress, financial stress, relationship stress, and career stress are the main causes of stress in the young generation.
In Pakistan, many young people are suffering from stress every day. The American Psychological Association surveys stress and since 2013, teens have reported higher levels of stress than adults. The first cause of stress is study stress because there is cutthroat competition for getting good grades and doing well. Also, parents and teachers put a lot of pressure on students and this causes stress on student’s life.
An online UK stress survey has found that six out of ten young people aged 18-24 have felt so stressed by pressure to succeed they have felt unable to cope. The second cause of stress can be financial stress because in today’s time, there is no life without money. In our society, men face more financial stress because he has the responsibility of their family. He has to pay the bills, he has to deal with the increasing prices of commodities every day. People who graduated and got the highest marks are not able to find good jobs and are jobless and this causes stress because they are not able to fulfill their necessities.
Another cause is relationship stress. Suffering from stress because of difficulties in life can cause divorce or breakups. Being stressed all the time makes a person irritable and then they lash out at their partner and this creates conflicts and hate between them. Because of stress, a person is not able to spend time with their loved ones. Career stress is also a cause of stress on the young generation.
People are worried about their careers as they want to make their future better but many people do not have jobs. Although they have graduated and have degrees still they are jobless and this causes career stress. And those who have jobs are working too hard and facing a workload that can cause career stress. So these are some causes of stress for the young generation. A latest scientific study, which is part of a world-level publication, has found that levels of depression, anxiety, and stress are growing mainly among the young population.
If we talk about the solutions of how to reduce stress then there are many ways to avoid stress. A person who is suffering from stress should sleep on time and do exercises as well as engaging in exercise will help a person to reduce stress. Secondly, a person should spend more time with friends and family to avoid stress. A healthy diet and reading books can also help to reduce stress. Yoga and therapy sessions are the best solutions for stress relief. A huge amount of stress can be reduced if these easy solutions are implemented by the young generation.
In conclusion, I would like to say that stress is now a part of our life but we should not take too much stress because we people are humans, not machines. Stress is not good for our health because it kills the human body from the inside as it causes many diseases. Problems are with everyone but we have to manage these problems by living a peaceful life because being stressed cannot help you to cope with your problems.
